A
page of idea starters
can help you get started in a celebration of Our River and
its Communities.
Seven
Year Old Kennebec River Ice? You
gotta read it to believe it!
Ye
Ed looks ahead and invites
you to get into the act.
Welcome
to the Kennebec River Communities on line Magazine. "On
line Magazine" you say? That's right! The magazine
format and a regular publication schedule offers a number
of pluses to our readers. The major advantage is that we
can departmentalize our content and present articles written
especially for us on a regularly scheduled basis. This web
site offers a large and growing public forum to people who
like to write and people with specific expertise in matters
relating to the Kennebec River Community.
Five
key Departments will be developed as appropriate content
becomes available:
Science
(Biology, Archeology, Ecology, natural resources)
Economic: (Business development, tourism issues)
Recreation: (Boating, fishing, sightseeing)
Social: (Local History, Historic Preservation, Quality
of life issues in Kennebec River communities)
Humor: (Humor)
This
content will fall into three classifications;
... information of local interest to citizens of each River
Community;
... information relevant to The River Community as a whole;
... information from and about interests beyond the Kennebec
River
Any
of the above may be presented in the form of articles, essays,
anecdotes, photos, artwork, etc., and combinations thereof.
Articles falling into these categories will be 'teased'
here on the Home Page of each issue with one-click links
to the article itself.
